This is an electric ceramic wax melter with a pretty woodgrain base. You can melt wax melts in the included dish, or remove the dish and place a candle on the heat plate to melt it from the bottom up.
This goes great with Scentess wax melts, as well as candles with wax leftover to melt that the wick hasn't reached.
